Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has made a bold statement about her relationship with music executive Paulo Okoye — and it’s not what fans were expecting!

In a surprising revelation, popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has confirmed that marriage is off the table in her relationship with renowned music executive Paul Okoye, widely known as Paulo. Speaking on TVC’s Your View, Ojo clarified that while they’re in a loving relationship, neither of them is aiming for marriage.

“We don’t want marriage,” she said bluntly, leaving fans both shocked and intrigued.

Iyabo, a mother of two, explained the arrangement that works perfectly for her and Paulo. Describing both herself and her partner as “workaholics,” she emphasized the importance of personal space in their relationship.

“Because of the way I work, I am such a workaholic, and he is also a workaholic. That Igbo man likes to work,” she said with a laugh. “There are times when I want to be alone, and I just pack my bags and return to my house. We never fight over that because he understands.”

The actress went public with her relationship with Paulo in December 2022 on her 45th birthday, sharing a romantic video montage of their moments together. While fans anticipated a wedding announcement, Iyabo’s recent statement flips the script on celebrity relationship expectations.

She stressed that the foundation of their relationship is mutual respect and understanding—not traditional commitments.

Interestingly, Paulo himself has joked about the relationship dynamics. In a past interview, he teased that Iyabo had “invaded his space” and jokingly said she had “snatched” him from his “numerous side chics.”
