Nigerian businessman Emeka Okonkwo, widely known as E-Money, has reacted following criticism aimed at some Igbo businessmen who have declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

The reaction comes after fellow businessmen Obi Cubana and Cubana Chiefpriest publicly showed support for Tinubu. Reports earlier revealed that both men were given appointments in a pro-Tinubu group known as the City Boy Movement.

Tension grew online after a viral video surfaced showing the two businessmen alongside Zenco, displaying buses said to be meant for Tinubu’s campaign ahead of the 2027 election. The development sparked heated conversations on social media, with many Nigerians sharing mixed reactions.

While the debate continued, E-Money took to Instagram on Thursday, February 12, 2026, but not to address the political controversy directly. Instead, he posted an update about his upcoming birthday celebration scheduled for February 18.

He wrote:

“UPDATE! UPDATE!! 6 DAYS TO GO!!! (18th Feb loadingggg!) The countdown is getting real and the excitement is on 100!!! 😄 My heart is sooo full and grateful. Thankful for life, love, growth, and every single blessing along the way! Let the celebration begin alreadyyy.”

However, some followers used the comment section to make subtle remarks about the ongoing political conversation. A few described certain supporters as “hungry billionaires” and “Igbo Judas Iscariot.”

E-Money appeared to notice the comments and reacted with laughing emojis, without offering any further explanation or statement on the issue.

The controversy around Igbo businessmen backing President Tinubu’s 2027 campaign continues to stir reactions online. While some figures have openly shown support, E-Money has not made any direct political statement. For now, his public focus remains on his upcoming birthday celebration.

As discussions continue on social media, it remains to be seen whether more business leaders will address the growing debate.

Nigerian music duo Zule Zoo is preparing to celebrate 20 years in the entertainment industry with a special anniversary concert in Abuja. The event, titled “Ultimate Thank You Party,” will take place on February 21 at Blake Excellence Resort.

The concert marks two decades since the group began its journey in the early 2000s. Zule Zoo rose to national fame with their hit song Kerewa, a track that became widely popular across the country. The song helped introduce their unique “Takuraku” sound, a blend of traditional Nigerian rhythms, hip-hop, and reggae. That sound earned them recognition as pioneers in Nigeria’s music scene.

Organisers say the anniversary show will bring together top music artists, comedians, dancers, and well-known MCs. The night will feature performances and tributes to celebrate the duo’s impact and the fans who have supported them over the years. The gathering has been described as a historic moment focused on music, gratitude, and reflection.

A key part of the event will be a tribute to the late Michael Aboh, one half of the duo, who passed away in 2022. The tribute will honour his contribution to Nigerian music and his role in building the group’s legacy.

Al-Hassan Ibrahim, the surviving member of Zule Zoo, is leading the anniversary celebration. In a statement, organisers said, “This is our way of saying thank you for the love and support over two decades.”

To encourage strong turnout, ticket prices have been reduced to make the event more accessible to fans and music lovers.

For many fans, the concert will be more than a celebration. It will be a chance to relive memories and appreciate the music that shaped an era.

Zule Zoo’s 20th anniversary concert is set to be a night of music, memories, and gratitude. As fans gather in Abuja, the event will celebrate the duo’s journey, honour Michael Aboh’s legacy, and spotlight the lasting influence of their sound on Nigerian music.

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has stirred conversation online after sharing her thoughts on why many marriages end in divorce. The actress believes men play a major role in most failed unions.

In a recent post on her Instagram page, Ogbodo said men are largely responsible when marriages break down. She wrote, “Men contribute 95 per cent in failed marriages.

“Many marriages fail because a significant number of men neglect, cheat, devalue, emotionally harm, emotionally stress, or betray their wives.”

According to her, these actions by men often create deep emotional wounds that weaken relationships over time. She also pointed to a lack of accountability in relationships and society as a factor that allows such behaviour to continue.

Ogbodo’s comment has since sparked reactions from followers, with many sharing their own views on marriage and responsibility between partners.

The actress is currently in her second marriage. She tied the knot with her second baby daddy, Bobsy Maris, in October 2023. Her first marriage was to Norway based football agent, Ato Ubby, in 2013. However, the union ended less than a year after it began.

Her latest statement adds to ongoing public discussions about marriage, commitment, and the challenges couples face.

Uche Ogbodo’s remarks have added a strong voice to the debate on what causes marriages to fail. While opinions may differ, her message highlights the need for accountability and better treatment between partners. It remains to be seen how the conversation will continue among fans and the wider public.

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known worldwide as Tems, has reached a new milestone in her career. She is now the first African female artist to score seven entries on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The achievement follows the debut of her song “What You Need,” which entered this week’s Billboard Hot 100 at number 93. The new entry brings her total number of songs on the chart to seven.

With this record, Tems now stands alongside fellow Nigerian star Burna Boy and South African rock band Seether. All three acts have seven entries each on the Billboard Hot 100, making them the African artists with the most appearances on the chart.

Tems has continued to break barriers in global music. In 2022, she became the first African artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. She achieved the feat through her collaboration with Future and Drake on the hit song “Wait For U.”

Her success on the international stage shows the growing influence of African music around the world. Over the past few years, more African artists have gained recognition on major global charts, and Tems remains one of the leading voices in that movement.

She may not hold the shared record for long. J. Cole’s “Bunce Road Blues,” which features Tems and Future, is expected to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 next week. If that happens, she will move ahead of Burna Boy and Seether with eight entries.

Tems has once again written her name into music history. By becoming the first African female artist with seven Billboard Hot 100 entries, she has set a new standard for artists from the continent. With another collaboration set to enter the chart soon, her record may grow even further in the coming weeks.

Reality TV star Tope Adenibuyan, better known as Teddy A, has shared how false claims that he abused his wife deeply affected him and his family.

Speaking on the WithChude Podcast, Teddy A said he was shocked when he first saw reports online accusing him of beating his wife, actress Bamike “Bambam.” The claims, which spread on social media, even alleged that he assaulted her while she was pregnant.

Teddy A said the day the story broke started like any other.

He said, “When they said I was beating my wife, which was a lot. I woke up, went downstairs, my wife was there, she was watching a movie, she was pregnant and laughing”.

He explained that he had no idea where the story came from. While his wife was at home watching a movie, his phone began buzzing with notifications.

“Then I checked my phone and saw my notifications going off. I was like, I didn’t drop any content that’s trending, what’s going on, what did I do, or what are they saying now? As I went through the comments, my wife became very emotional and kept asking who did this. I honestly didn’t know, maybe it was one ex somewhere or village people trying to come after me”, he continued.

According to him, the sudden wave of accusations left both of them confused and upset. He said the rumor quickly gained attention online and became a topic of discussion across social media platforms.

Teddy A also spoke about how he handled the situation at the time. He revealed that when he reached out to his manager for advice, he was told not to respond publicly.

“I called my manager to ask what we should do, and he told me not to fuel the fire and just let it go. At the time, I didn’t really see the damage staying silent would do to my reputation. Even when my wife and I post ourselves, people still comment and ask if I’m sure I don’t beat my wife. Why would they say that? Why on earth would they do that? It affected me because it made people see me in a way that wasn’t true,” he added.

He said staying silent seemed like the right move at first, but he later realized that the claims continued to follow him. Even now, he says some people still question him whenever he shares photos or videos with his wife online.

The reality star did not name anyone behind the allegations but made it clear that the experience took an emotional toll on him.
